Elias stayed put on the way, waiting for the travel to end. He was uncomfortable in a car and had to suffer such voyages so often that he feared that he would never get used to them. He never told anyone, but it was clear to those that looked at him: he was a rider, even if not a skilled one, and depending on non-living things to work his way somewhere always fatigued him.
"Are we there yet?" he asked with a smile.

The strange totem like sculptures, were something Caro have never encountered. No aquilas? No Omnisiah cogs? Why they are not destroyed? That intrigued Caro. He noted that in his mind.
Gurdsman was right. Jeeps don't die. They get rebuild and can get you from any darn hole to then of the world. Ironically, tavern was named after "world ends".
The question of Elias disturbed Caro's thoughts. "judging by looks and no other directions, here, Marble Crest, finally we are. It is unusual for syndicate to act in this world and place. Worry, I am" mutered Caro. "as not everybody heard, I suggested to do the original deal to exchange artefacts and then try to make a new deal to buy out Tears of Kalis with bag of money and if not enough then with selling our service. Geiss and Hox seem to agree to this, but without a blessing from sire Elias and dear Annabelle would be bad. Nevertheless, for south things, the plan should be devised"

Annabelle looked at Caro and nodded. "If we can't negotiate a better deal, it's better than nothing. Exchange our services to their cause. Maybe get rid of someone they don't like to open the floodgates for their operations. Syndicates like theirs always have some pencil-pusher getting into their business~ Dealing with men like that used to be my specialty." A dangerous glint entered her eye. "Of course, there's always the third option. Depending on the forces they bring here, we could always make the deal, and then take it back by force." She paused a moment. "Of course doing that would be a last resort of course. No need to get on their bad side, if we can avoid it. But speaking of negotiations, would you boys mind if I use the vehicle to change into something more appropriate?" She asked, preparing her high class dress. A little more formal and appropriate than her assassin's bodysuit. Less likely to raise suspicions. And a better showing of good will.

Post by Arc/Azararch Morgan Geiss on Mar 11, 2016 13:45:30 GMT
As the group jorneyed to their destination, Azararch recalled the events of the last time they used a transportation vessel, while also trying to determine if there was any warp presence nearby. He silently asked himself if their short track record with broken vehicles will continue as is. A rhetorical question, but he started to worry whether the undersupply of luck was in order, or some malefic powers opposed them or the inquisitor somehow knew about their whereabouts and intent. Maybe that is the reason why a psyker would be requisitioned for the task?
Geiss' thoughts were interrupted as the jeep stopped, and he decided to put another effort into surveying the acolytes' immediate surroundings.
Psyniscience use during the ride at +0. Perception 40. Psyniscience use after the arrival at +0? Perception 40.
Awareness use to survey the surrounding and check for possible threats and eyewitnesses at +0. Perception 40.

"of course, darling, use Old Betty's quaters for your needs" Caro smirked a smiley and began adjusting auspex, web grenade, pistol gun under his robes to make them ready and concealed. Just to make sure, loaded ammo to autogun in backpack and put an artifact there too. "We would better separate our treasures. Mighty Hox, may you take the money?" And with a moment of thought "please, remember, authenticity of their artefact must be checked. From this moment I would delegate subtle talks to sweet Annabelle as somebody already suggested. Though we should use codenames. This is faceless trade after all"

Elias was angered by the idea of serving the Ennemy to get an other opportunity.
"Better to tell them that we will serve them and then come down on them with all our might. I prefer to bring these negotiations to a bloody end, even at the risk of our lives, than to help them, even if temporary. Giving them such dark artefacts is already much to stomach"
When he was told they had arrived, he looked everywhere, looking for a threat, syndicate's guards and such. (Awareness 33)

Annabelle smiled at Elias. "It's a lovely idea darling. Give them a favorable deal, then take our end back by force~" Her face then grew more serious. "But depending on the forces they have at their disposal, it may not be possible at this time. I've no doubt you are a mighty warrior. With the Emperor at your side, you might kill half a dozen of them by yourself~ But what if they were to bring three times that many? Until we see what they have, I think it would be a poor idea to put making the Syndicate as our enemy our 'Plan B.' if you will."

Elias words made Caro remember how hotheaded arbiters are. That alone worried him more than anything else. It could cause the end of everything. "More than confident, I am with your abilities, sire Elias. Though, effective, it won't be. Cutting branches of tree will double of them. Aiming for root, our objective should be, but we should be clever and stealth like virus to pass through guarding antibodies. However the case, our mission is a diplomatic trade. Revealing our cover or fighting them could prove disastrous for both us and our inquisitor. Failure means our disposal" seriously stated Caro. No smile could be found on his face under rusty metal mask.

(Awareness 33) Rolled 12: you realize that this area is far from being safe. In the shadows, gang members watch your steps for weaknesses, and the man at the sausage barbeque seems to be more than he seems to be. At least for the gangs of this emperor-forsaken place.

Elias gritted his teeths and spoke lower.
"Right. I'll follow your lead on this. But if the opportunity presents itself to win this operation without playing them foul and staining our souls, we will have to take it. Finally, before we get out, the barbecue man is clearly watching us and dangerous, as much as many gang members around. So we'll have to shut up now, especially me"
He got out of the car, making him appear as the most menacing member of the coming party. He looked around, establishing himself as the muscles accompanying Anna, his hand close to his mace, his unadorned carapace armour dull and used with years of services.

Azararch grew aggravated of thinking on how much has gone awry at this point and how much still could just as well as of the dreadful weight of feeling hunted by whatever entity that might be their enemies. The release from the latter was not of much consolation to the psyker, as even if that was just him having a case of developing paranoia, it did not mean that no such thing was antagonising the acolytes as a group or a single individual of the such.
Morgan showed his concern in neither posture nor facade, only stiffening the muscles under the skin his hood was meant to cover from weather and curious people. His name, however, was still not protected. Azararch spent a moment, remembering a suitable name or title.
'I suppose we should not dawdle anymore', Geiss said as soon as he saw the opportunity, and proceeded with introducing his pseudonym, 'Also, do not forget that my name is Lorenz. Is everyone ready?'

"Most right, Lorenz is. Please, Spectre K, myself will be." stated Caro without an accent . Finally his equipment was ready. Faceless trader, again. Caro rarely did such trades due to legality reasons. Usually, he prepared a lot to just be sure of safe exit if something would go awry. He dealt only for drugs and knowledge. Never xeno artifacts. The current experience, already brought high level of adrenaline in his blood. Many bad things have been seen in the past. That was the only reason he didn't panicked. But uneasy Caro felt. He peered though two metal mask's eye sockets to the strange near barbecue and analyzed if that person could be the dealer (Unknown Logic Int 48) or a heretic (Known Linguistics Chaos Int 48). Nevertheless the surroundings were important for Caro too. Did they have any advantages or safe exits here. Caro thought fast. (Known Tactica Imperialis Int 48).
"May Elias, aka Spectre E, if he allows that name on him, and Annabelle, aka Spectre A, if she don't mind too, take the lead? I would like to stay near Hox, aka Spectre H, if I could have a honor to name him such for the time being." politely poured his words.

The settlement is quite open, so strategically both easy to leave and Hard to Defend.
You rather guess this guy is more a ganger or even Gang leader than a heretic or trader.
