Anna resisted the urge to scowl at the man. Who was he to tell them he was late, when they had not even been given an Emperor-damned location? He should be grateful that the group had arrived at all! But Anna, professional that she was, didn't let her unhappy thoughts dampen the seductive smile on her lips, nor slow the sway in her hips as she strutted towards the individual, Caro at her side and Elias having her back. Having the two there was incredibly reassuring.
Then Caro opened his mouth, and Annabelle got an idea. But there was no time to relay the plan to Caro or Elias with the Edge Syndicate right in front of them. Annabelle could only hope they'd be able to follow her lead. Caro had met the Edge Syndicate's hostility with coolness and accusations. Annabelle could meet them with the opposite. Perhaps it might even put them in a better disposition to deal with her. A bit like a good cop-bad cop routine. "Thank you Father, for your supportive words~" Annabelle said, flashing a smile at Caro.
"But these gentlemen are from the Edge Syndicate afterall. It's rude of us to try their patience, even if it couldn't be helped. They're busy people afterall. We shouldn't keep them waiting." She stated. "In any case, dear, you can see that our Father is with us. " She said sweetly to the businessman. "Since you've waited so long, perhaps we can get to business. Do you have it with you?" She purred at him. [Attempting a Charm test to improve her disposition with these representatives, Fellowship 42 and Charm+10, for a target roll of 52]

"My Name is not of concern for the type of Business we conduct. Also, accusing me of dirty tricks is not a good way to start with. I hope the goods you provide are of better Quality than your manners, old man", he says to Caro, before he is spoken to by his "daughter" (Charm Test rolled 21).
"Nice that is at least one Person here who does not want to waste my time. Of Course I didnt coe unprepared. I hope the same goes for you. You have it with you ?"

Caro expected to hear at least a nickname or a position of amateurish agent, though, the chance to know such things are too little in doing Faceless Trades. The man, however, did not deny but complained about accusation and did not worry about those forces outside. Paranoia just grew higher. The man might be a liar and thus, Caro rethought strangers body language and voice if that was the case (Unknown Scrutiny, alternate characteristic Fel 39).
"Only the paranoid survive till old age and I know I'm paranoid and neurotic, I have made a career out of it." With a fixed grin and soft voice Caro sprouted words just to restart the unpleasant beginning of negotiations. "Though, my child atache, spoiled from that, is not, you see. Howeverscroungers outside, may be trouble for all of us, if it did not came here with any of us." Caro stopped a moment to carefully consider his words "Resisting the quality of your wanted item can be only by strong minds. To prove our and your merchandise quality, make a check, lets..". Caro took auspex and the case with an artifact and put it on his side of table. "...open on the same time, Monique will allow you to check it while I check yours. Agreed? You, know, there is no time to waist. Please, Monique, continue your magnificent diplomatic work".

Elias tooked a short sight around the place, one on his left, one on his right, never completeley turning around but watching everywhere for someone to come against them. His principal motivation was to look for threats. Now that the man said that those outsides were not of his, this could mean a third party coming in. He was ready for that. He was ready for anything.
The only question was: would he fail in his duties.

He agrees with a smile to check the cases and orders his bulky companion over to the table. "Show me what you've got."

Any spent minute in here was a torture. The fact of Just one escape passage worried a lot. Though this business is not the end. They still need to make another deal to recover that same artifact, but at first, lets hope they have real one - not fake. "Dear Monique, please, demonstrate our merchandise for business man" Caro pushed a luggage to her and then he walked like an old man to the big man holding a case near a big table. Though, his face was even more cringed than ever. Only adrenaline pumped through his blood vessels. He reacted this way to a little fear - that big man could snap Caro's old friable body in peaces with a flick of finger. Anyway, Caro posed little to no threat compared to any others in this room. Little did edge syndicate knew, he had stub revolver concealed under robes and a web grenade with loaded autogun in backpack. In case he would need them, he just spray enemy to scare. Age took a toll on his accuracy, though he had knowledge and knowledge is the power above all.
Caro's auspex still was on and in his hands. He never really stopped scanning (Unknown Awareness, Per 30, Auspex +20). When finally approached the case he sprouted gibbering old man words "Ready to evaluate, I am, mighty Man".

When Elias heard sound outside, he tried to locat from where it came. Was it from the door where they went through? Or were they sounds running the lenght of the building?
He didn't knew but he was ready. He looked at Caro, keats as he called himself, walk around, looking for something on his auspex.
Elias just hoped this would end, since their interlocutors were not the kind of people he wanted to let live for long.

Annabelle gestured to her cell to display their artifact to the Syndicate. It was possible someone had switched it to another member of the cell, so she trusted whomever was holding it to bring their artifact forth now and display it. Upon revealing their part of the deal to the Syndicate she intended to watch the man's face with utmost scrutiny, to try and gauge his own reaction. [Attempting a Scrutiny test. Azararch took the group's case and stepped up, exposing its interior. He was ready for the worst to happen, and mentally prepared himself to call upon his unreliable powers if needed.
OoC: I only later remembered that doing that was pretty 'disadvantageous' for me. Sorry.

The facless trader seems satisfied and tells his man to put the case on the table.
In just this moment, a roaring sound gets louder and louder.
By the expression on their faces, you can tell that the traders are as curious as you are.
Just a moment later, the eastern wall falls into the room, as an armoured vehicled crashed into it.

The all telling mimic of edge syndicate strange, calmed Caro a little. He is satisfied. Now, only theirs to check was left. With a flick of a heartbeat Caro's calmness ended. Nevertheless he was near a big savage heretic, new potentially enemies poured through the wall. Such disgrace! Machine spirit of the vehicle used for ramming! They will pay for this. "Quick, ready yourselves. Lorenz protect the merchandise! Bring our death delivery! For Keats and Edge syndicate!" shouted Caro with his old gibbering voice while running for cover near Hox. He immediately readied his autogun from backpack while counting their new enemies and where his bullets would be effective (SL/CL Tactica Imperialis, Int 48 or unknown Logic)

What the hell was this!? Annabelle's face contorted in frustration, as she dove for the nearest cover available. "E!" She exclaimed at Elias, hoping he might be able to send one of her weapons her way, once he had found cover for himself. Ideally her rifle, but she'd take whatever he could toss her. Meanwhile, she slipped her autopistol out of its concealed holster, and readied it. Who was this? Was it the Arbitrators? Either way. As long as it wasn't the Edge Syndicate, this offered a unique opportunity. If they could, perhaps, eliminate the competition here and now, perhaps Elias's plan of simply taking the artefact by force wasn't so unfeasible. In a firefight like this, there would undoubtedly be casualties. But Annabelle would have to run that plan as it became available. Either way. She hoped that her cover would hold, because unlike her comrades, she had come in unarmored.

Initiative. Agility bonus 2.
Azararch hastily closes the case, and ran to take cover, drawing his pistol immediately afterwards.
Not a very surprising turn of events by itself, the psyker was mostly befuddled by the fragility of the place's walls that proved the statements about their age.

Elias was not surprised. He had heard sound. He had tought about it. Mechanically, the Knight of old threw the sniper rifle to Anna and drew his maul. His next objective was to crouch behind the table while looking at the vehicle that just entered. He tried to identify the vehicle and its source. Was it magistratum? Adeptus Arbites? (Common Lore; Adeptus Arbites, trained, int 27).
If it was, he would act in a completely different way.
